How to Use this Website

The website of Democracy for Monroe County can only do so much without your participation. We can provide news and information, but we cannot create the interactive online community that is possible here. That's the job of everyone in the D4MC community who uses this website.

Functions and Activities

Comments

Authenticated users may add comments to most stories and blog entries. These appear as a single thread, with the oldest comment first, extending below the main entry. To add a comment, use the "add new comment" link at the bottom of the initial entry. You can also respond to individual comments, using the "reply to this comment" links.

Stories

Stories are the entries that appear on the main DFMC page. Any Contributor can add a story, and edit his/her own stories. These may be news items, announcements, or other items of interest.

Blogs (Weblogs)

Contributors can keep their own individual weblogs. Blog entries can be "promoted" so that they show up on the main page, as well as in the Contributor's own blog.

Events

Stuff that's happening, pertinent to DFMC's members and visitors. Contributors may add and edit Events.
